The Dayton, Ohio based quartet The Werks was formed in 2007 by Dave Bartoletti (keys), Rob Chafin (drummer), Chris Houser (guitar) and Chuck Love (bass.) The band released their first album, “Dig It,” a few months after forming and have continued to churn out their own blend of funky, organ and guitar-driven dance grooves ever since. In their short five years together the group has been invited to play festivals across the country including Wakarusa, Summer Camp Music Festival, Electric Forest, All Good Music Festival and more. The band regularly tours the US and holds their annual music festival, the “Werk Out Music and Arts Festival”, each September in Ohio. Their success is largely credited to the hard work of their street team, as well as the band’s unique performance that can be appreciated by a wide variety of musical tastes. The Werks incorporate psychedelic guitars, organ, funky bass and modern dance beats into their own musical form, referred to as “psychedelic dance rock.” The Werks have four albums to their credit, including “Dig It” (2007), “Synapse” (2009), “The Werks Live at The Werk Out Music Festival” (2010), and a self-titled studio album that was released in April of 2012.
