UTOPiAfest is just two months away and we’re all getting excited about what lies ahead! It feels so incredible and exciting and RIGHT to be hosting a festival of this nature and we hope that you all feel the same way as we do: that UTOPiAfest is different and unique. We’re small and family-focused. We’re byob. We’re actually here FOR THE MUSIC so forget about overlapping stages and interrupting sound checks. We can’t wait to share this experience with all of you. We can’t wait to meet you at one of our pre-parties in the Austin area. We’re like impatient kids the night before Christmas only more so because we KNOW how incredible the presents are gonna be (no socks or “Build your own volcano!” kits here).

1. Go see 2012 performing artist The Dalles at The White Horse in Austin on Saturday, July 28th. This quartet (frequent guest artist Zach Moulton will not be playing pedal steel tomorrow but WILL be with the foursome at UTOPiAfest) play honest craftsman rock n roll that resonates with true feeling and emotion.
2. Join us at Onion Creek Productions’ offices off of South Lamar on Friday, August 3rd for a pre-party with tons of free libations from our festival sponsors, free grub from 2012 vendor True Natures Child AND a free performance from 2012 artist Sour Bridges
3. If you’re living in the San Marcos area, join us on Thursday, August 16th for KTSW 89.9′s Third Thursday concert featuring 2012 UTOPiAfest artists Hard Proof Afrobeat, Digital Antique and Sour Bridges. Free music and free pizza (while it lasts) at Triple Crown from 9pm to 2am.
