SOUR BRIDGES:

Sour Bridges are an indie-folk/rock band from South Austin, TX. Formed in 2009, the band originally started playing in alleyways and bar parking lots. Comprised of artists from every different corner of the country, Sour Bridges’ sound is an infectious combination of Texas folk, Appalachian bluegrass, and old-time rock and roll. The five members of Sour Bridges bring a wide variety of character and instrumentation to the table with the harmonious blend of fiddle, banjo, mandolin and acoustic guitar. In 2010, Sour Bridges’ released their debut full length LP, Workin’ on Leavin’, and they’ve been active in the Austin music scene ever since.

Regardless of the setting – be it a dimly lit bar or a natural amphitheatre – Sour Bridges’ natural sound makes you feel like you’re listening to music on your own front porch. The intimate and earthy three part harmonies blend together a simple and wholesome sound that is an essential addition to the complexity of their stringed instruments. One can expect an a capella breakdown or a “chant along” at their live performances — these are your songs, too, and they want you to join in and sing with them. Sour Bridges are: Bill Pucci, Matt Pucci, “Mama” Kat Wilkes, Dalton Chamblee and Jack Bridges.
