Hello, Austin! If you’re in the area tonight, please come out to the Texas State Capitol building at 8pm for the Inside the Capitol Concert Series featuring two UTOPiAfest artists: Dana Falconberry & Ben Ballinger of The Dalles.

THIS SHOW IS FREE! JUST SHOW UP AND LISTEN! ITS EASY!

The concerts are completely acoustic. There is no sound reinforcement or PA at all. All amplification is accomplished through the natural acoustic of the perfectly round marble and polished concrete room. It is surprizingly loud and the sound is pristine.

If you haven’t attended one of these very unique concerts here is how they work: The show starts at 8pm. Folks usually arrive a few minute early to get through security. Security is very friendly and actually enjoys the music that the event brings. In return we are always respectful and follow the simple rules for anyone visiting the capitol. Please don’t bring any booze, drugs or weapons.

Directions: The room Dana and Ben will play in is located directly below the main rotunda (dome). You can access is from pretty much any stairway that leads off of the main rotunda room. Its easy to find, just ask around if you can’t find it or listen for the music and people talking.
